What the tale is about
In hot Madinah, Homara the rock bird rises early, exercises her wings, searches the soil for food, and watches her little birds play near their nest. One morning, a man approaches from behind the rocks and carries away the young birds, believing they have been left alone. Homara follows in distress, calling for her babies. When Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) hears her cries, he asks the man to return the birds to their mother. Homara gathers them safely beneath her wings, and the story closes with a prayer from Surah Hud, verse 88.
