What the tale is about
Three-year-old Rim loves riding her bicycle, eating fruit, and spending time with her beloved grandfather more than anything. Their birthdays are both on December 23. This year, Rim wants to give Grandpa a special gift instead of only a kiss. She considers prayer beads, a keffiyeh, a fragrant scent, a homemade meal, and a key chain, but each could break, disappear, or be used up. At last, she chooses to grow an olive tree from a pit or sapling, creating a lasting reminder of their love while caring for nature. The story closes with a prayer to Al-Fattah.
