What the tale is about
In a small, peaceful village, Keloglan lives with his mother and brings smiles to everyone through his kindness and cheerful spirit. When Gülüşan becomes ill and the village fills with sorrow, Keloglan sets out for the Village of the Sages to seek a cure. Grandfather Sage explains that the bottomless well is hopelessness and that the water of life is hope, strengthened by trust in Allah and prayer. At a spring guarded by three giants, Keloglan helps them understand why its water turns black when it is withheld from others. With the spring’s water, hope, and determination, he returns home and helps Gülüşan recover.
