What the tale is about

Zayd ibn Sunah, a learned Jewish scholar, recognizes many signs of the final prophet in Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), yet wishes to see two qualities for himself. When drought and famine strike a village, he lends provisions so the Prophet can send help. Before the agreed repayment date, Zayd rudely confronts and tests him. Even when Umar becomes angry, the Prophet remains calm, asks for the debt to be paid kindly, and adds extra dates because Zayd was frightened. Moved by this beautiful character, Zayd accepts Islam, followed soon by his family.
