What the tale is about

On a sunny morning, Peacock Mavish admires a newborn foal at the farm, but feels sad when the busy animals do not hear him ask whether he is beautiful. He wanders into the forest, where Kupi the tortoise teaches him about Allah’s name Al-Jamil, the source and owner of all beauty. At the lakeside, Mavish enjoys the frogs, fish, lilies, and graceful swans. The swans help him notice his magnificent reflection and appreciate his own special beauty. Returning to the farm, Mavish shares his new understanding that every creature has beautiful qualities worthy of gratitude.
